First and foremost, it's important to understand that insurance companies have their own rules and regulations regarding mental health coverage. This may limit the number of sessions you can have, require specific diagnoses/diagnoses to be shared or dictate the type of therapy that can be used. This often might not feel safe for clients or limit their time in therapy.
While I currently accept Cigna and Optum insurance and provide a superbill to be submitted to your insurance in which you can receive partial reimbursement, I want to provide you with the best possible care. If using insurance feels restricting please reach out for sliding scale options.
Yes, I offer both teletherapy and in-person sessions
I highly recommend in-person sessions! Meeting in person provides a dedicated space where you can fully immerse yourself, prioritize self-care, and disconnect from the outside world.
However, I have found it beneficial to offer virtual sessions for clients as it makes therapy more accessible. I can work with all clients that are residents of California.
I currently see clients in Manhatten Beach, CA and Seal Beach, CA.
Cancellations can be a tricky issue, and I understand that sometimes unexpected issues pop up. I want to ensure the best possible outcome of your therapy. Here is how I deal with cancellations:
The session time is reserved for you, so I kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel via email, voicemail, or text.
If you decide not to show up or contact me, your card on file will be charged the full fee.
Weekly clients are allowed 3 emergency cancellations every 6 months, and bi-weekly clients are allowed 2 emergency cancellations every 6 months, beginning from the date of your first session.
A value of mine is accessibility, which makes it super important to me that therapy be accessible to those who need it. I reserve sliding-scale spots for marginalized individuals or those who are struggling economically.
I also can provide individuals with referrals if my slots are full.
